RPM and WebSocket caps are documentation defaults; the console plan is authoritative. Realtime / Level 2 tiers vary by market and upstream and may not match any single exchange book.

How quotas work

Understanding metering can save you a lot.

  1. 1
    REST counts per request

    Each quote, kline, and similar call counts as 1, under three limits: daily cap, monthly quota, and requests per minute (RPM). One quote can batch symbols (US 20, multi-market 50, crypto 100).

  2. 2
    WebSocket meters the handshake only

    The stream handshake counts once toward daily quota and RPM; later tick pushes are not metered. Prefer WebSocket for continuous refresh; use REST for snapshots and backfill.

    Over-limit returns 429

    Error codes explain why: DAILY_LIMIT_EXCEEDED, MONTHLY_LIMIT_EXCEEDED, RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED (account RPM), KEY_RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED (per-key RPM). Back off using the Retry-After header.

    Disabled markets return 403

    Calling a market outside your plan returns MARKET_NOT_ENABLED; exceeding WebSocket connection caps returns a WS_CONN_LIMIT error frame. See all error codes

Can I try before paying?

Yes. Free is permanent and includes realtime crypto — no credit card required. Upgrade to unlock US stocks, indices, metals, FX and WebSocket streaming.

What happens if I exceed my quota?

REST calls count toward daily quota and per-minute limits. Live data should use WebSocket (not metered per tick). REST returns 429 when limits are hit; upgrade if you need more.

Do you support yearly billing?

Yes. Yearly billing saves about 20%, with invoices and bank transfer available.

Does WebSocket count against REST quota?
